Illustration & Design Motion Pictures About Enrique Garcia

about Enrique Garcia

Enrique was born and raised in Southern California. He first realized he had artistic talent in middle school, when his friends introduced him to comic books and he was able to copy the styles he saw. In high school, he would expand his repertoire to include sculpture, digital illustration, and drafting.

Bouncing from industry to industry, Enrique has put his mark on a variety of projects: while working at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he proposed a Mars rover concept which was taken into R&D; he later created and developed an animated series, "Space Place Live", which premiered online as well as on cable via NASA TV.

In college, Enrique sampled mixed media, 3D modelling, and animation before settling on motion picture production. While his focus was on writing and directing, Enrique still managed to learn other areas such as acting, editing, and cinematography. His last short movie, "A Portrait of Envy" (2007), was well-reviewed online and screened at Monster Shorts in New York City, the first annual Whittier Film Festival, and the 2008 ReelHeART International Film Festival.

Enrique continues pursuing illustration, design, and motion pictures, with a slew of ideas and projects in the queue. He expects his next short movie, a horror titled "In The Dark", to be released October 2008.
